For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the gospel will save it. -Mark 8:35

Saving our life is not a matter of security, happiness, wealth and power. Jesus tells us to live life according to His will and that would mean obedience and sacrifice. As we obey and sacrifice we work for His Kingdom.

Jesus' prayer, "your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" is teaching our hearts to follow Jesus whatever it may cause because in the end, He will be exalted and so are we when He comes in the glory of His Father and with holy angels.

He has done everything well

People were completely astounded and said, "He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak." -Mark 7:37

"He has done everything well," a remarkable respond from people who encountered the goodness of Jesus. We were once healed: our spiritual eyes restored its sight to see the light and our spiritual ears responded to the call. We believe in His name and we have now the right to become children of God.

We may struggle to be perfect but God's loving kindness leads us to continually adore the beauty of His perfection. So that we may be able to run the race that was set before us.

Continue to understand truth: read bible everyday. Give what's best for God: make every opportunity to serve Him. Be perfect in love: pray and love people. Let's help one another in transforming our world.

Today we could still come and touch the edge of His cloak and be healed

And wherever he would go - into villages, towns, or countryside - they would place the sick in the marketplaces, and would ask him if they could just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed. -Mark 6:56

There were times in my life that I needed healing. God showed me His power to heal me physically, emotionally and spiritually. Even no one was praying for me then. But a lot of times seminars and trainings could be a big help because I recognised and believed in God's manifested power. And of course a lot of times too that I experienced His healing touch when I truly worship and acknowledge His loving presence. I humbled down before the Lord and submerged in His loving kindness. That was the time I received freedom from sickness and pain.

Today we could still come and touch the edge of His cloak and be healed. It's in the matter of the heart. What is in your heart right now? Believe in your heart that Jesus came to heal you. Invite Him to change you in saying this: "I will give you an undivided heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 11:19 NIV)

God's word calms my spirit and takes away my fears

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, "Do not be afraid; just believe." -Mark 5:36

I have to admit that it's so hard to get insights when my heart worries about something. These past few weeks I have a challenge to pursue a job that I was not used to it. (This job is an answer to my prayer. God gave this to me on my birthday). I have to pass the training and if I am able to cope up the graveyard shift. It's so inconvenient that I begun to worry a lot. God's word is a complete dose of having a right attitude in life. I would rather believe that Jesus is actually talking to me and says "Don't be afraid: just believe." that I can actually pass the challenge and be the best that I can be. Though I would also admit that this job begins to affect my health but hoping to be normalised. It's not my usual routine so I need to adjust and get enough of sleep.

God's word calms my spirit and takes away my fears. There's always something to believe in. And Jesus has all the answers for all our needs. That's what He came for.

And he said to them, "Why are you cowardly? Do you still not have faith? They were overwhelmed by fear and said to one another, "Who then is this? Even the wind and sea obey him!" -Mark 4:40-41

Nothing is impossible with God. That's the faith God is asking us to believe. When we trust and obey we are actually expressing the faith. Though it's hard to do when you're under stress and fear. We need to fight the battle in the mind. So what's the key to take away fear? Fill our minds with God's words. Let it overflow in the Spirit of God and pray that we will be set free for His Spirit gives liberty and freedom. In God there is fullness of joy and peace. Our minds will be filled with right perspective and our attitude will be perfectly in tune with God. Know Jesus more than we could imagine. He is the prince of peace, the author and the finisher of our faith. :))

See Ourselves First Before Others

Therefore you are without excuse, whoever you are, when you judge someone else. For on whatever grounds you judge another, you condemn yourself, because you who judge practice the same things. -Romans 2:1

Everyone sins and falls short to this nature. When we criticize someone who they are, what they do and where they are and without realizing that we are putting ourselves into God's judgment. God is so kind and compassionate to lead us into repentance. Work out our salvation. It doesn't mean if God forgives, we are welcome to sin again. For there will be no partiality, all will be rewarded according to what he has done. We condemn ourselves if we judge. We have knowledge to adhere God's teachings. "Therefore you who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? -Romans 2:21" Most importantly, we practice what we heard and learned. Live life according to the righteousness of God.

Living By Grace

Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you and I will never abandon you." -Hebrews 13:5

I remembered when this verse struck me way back 1999. My husband is a pastor, we got four kids and we did not have enough money to provide for all our needs and I need to stretch my budget up to the last centavo. It was so hard to live by faith but by God's grace we are able to cope up. And it's because we were sustained by the promises of God through his word. Many times God proved to me His faithfulness and His love through providing more than enough for all our needs.

All I want to do in that time was to follow Him. I didn't dare to do anything against His will. I didn't give up because I believed that He never left and abandoned us for we clung unto Him.

Our security and hope should come from God. We should still find our comfort and love from Him. That's the way we will be able to free ourselves from the love of money and the cares of this world. Declare that happiness and contentment should be found in Christ and fulfill through His Words.

Just wanna share with you one of my daily reflections.

My Reading is in Matthew Chapter 19: "Take into Heart This Principle"

There are three insights I got from this chapter today. One is remember my covenant with God (Mat 19:6-5). Second is remember to bless the children (Mat 19:19). And third is remember the poor always (Mat 19:21).

1. Remember my covenant with God. This is something to do with my relationship with God, with my loved ones and with other people. Just like a marriage covenant. When I got born again, God changed my whole life. I felt His love, His grace, and His power. And He restored everything to me. I got more inspirations to give back the love and blessings He has poured out on me through loving more my family and other people. This covenant made my life a channel and receiver of blessing. My husband is a gift to me and so are my children. And I know I am also to them.

2. Remember to bless the children. when we talk children, it's a heaven sent blessing. Any help we poured into a little child will hear and make known as farthest as in heaven. We are actually building God's kingdom!

3. Remember the poor always. The poor has always God. He will never abandon any of them. But how come there are lots who suffered so much and no one they cling into? That's how I have missed the point! Each one has its own capacity to help. If we help, there will be no poor at all!

Just take into heart this principle: if you receive a blessing, go, give and share them to others. Never miss a portion! A tithe, an offering, a meal and an open arms! You'll never know, you're too near to perfection.

What Could We Ask For More When We Are In God's State Of Glory?

like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I threw myself face down, and I heard a voice speaking. -Ezekiel 1:28

Whenever we felt God's awesome presence, we can't deny that we see also our iniquities. God does not accuse us but it's our sins lurking in our hearts that tell us we are wrong before God. Only by grace and his mercy can we enter into the throne of God. That's why it's very important to acknowledge the blood of Jesus who takes away our sin. We are not only see His glory but taste that the Lord is good! Then we will hear his voice and understand the call of our Great Shepherd. And we are ready to obey what is being commanded.

To sum up the Glory affirms 3R's: Radiance (bright light of God), Repentance (seeking the forgiveness of God), and Regeneration (spiritual renewal).

After the glory comes gifts, showers of blessings, abundance, salvation, deliverance, harvest, restoration, reconciliation, and there's so much more! Just to name a few. What could we ask for more when we are in God's state of glory?

Lasting Possession

He said through them, 'Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and stop doing the evil things you are doing. If you do, I will allow you to continue to live here in the land that I gave to you and your ancestors as a lasting possession. -Jeremiah 25:5

For those who have been complacent in doing things for God, this verse tells us that God is serious in giving punishments for those who won't obey Him. Wasted time, worried mind and confused heart are some of the things God hates most. We need to turn to God and submit whatever consequences we would be facing. God is merciful and kind to ease our burdens. Live a life that constantly growing in the knowledge and likeness of Jesus. That's why the cross at Calvary reminds us about His love for us. It's not yet too late, to repent and stop sinning so that we may be able to claim lasting possessions God is giving us.

Lord, many of us have been complacent in seeking you in this life. You still love and forgive us. Let us count the ways you've helped us during troubles and pains. Before we utter this prayer you know the answer is and this is always for our own good. May our thoughts and meditations be pleasing to your sight.

Where Have You Been Lately?

My blessing is on those people who trust in me, who put their confidence in me. They will be like a tree planted near a stream whose roots spread out toward the water. It has nothing to fear when the heat comes. Its leaves are always green. It has no need to be concerned in a year of drought. It does not stop bearing fruit. -Jeremiah 17:7-8

God keeps His eyes on those trustworthy persons. He allows them to be blessed and secured. They grows in abundance and stability. They are concerned on knowing the Lord and His will. That's why they are fruitful and strong.

Where have you been lately? Do you need to go over your life and see where are you going to? It's time to fill your heart with hope and encourage yourself in life that God cares and is still the same in keeping His eyes on you so that You may know Him and bless you and make Himself known to you.

What's Your Plan Today?

I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own.
We are not able to plan our own course. Jeremiah 10:23

Though God gives us freedom to choose and decide what's in our hearts He did not leave us no responsible at all. He still cares and corrects us if we do wrong. That's why He can't leave us doing plans on our own. He needs to see that His purpose for us is being accomplished so that we may be able to receive what's in store for us. We may be disappointed when our plans failed. But the truth is He allows disappointments to come in to teach us and learn on our own. We learn from our mistakes and we change to make things right. God did not mean to hurt us but teaching us to seek His will and accept that everything happened in the past makes us strong and mature.

Have you been disappointed these past days? Is life harder than before? Take heart my friend, you're just passing through the test. Just walk in God's wisdom, He will meet you there to open not just doors but also windows of grace and favor!

What Makes You Boast?

If people want to boast, they should boast about this: They should boast that they understand and know me. They should boast that they know and understand that I, the LORD, act out of faithfulness, fairness, and justice in the earth and that I desire people to do these things," says the LORD. -Jeremiah 9:24

In life, we experience success and failures along the way yet we still don't predict what would happen next. Whether it's bad time or good time today. Only the Lord knows. That's why He encourages us to do what He wants. He upholds our future if his demands meet. Plan on how you do these things, He is plotting to do a good thing for you! And that should be our attitude always.

Beyond The Boundaries

Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting bounHave you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set. Jeremiah 4:22

Oceans are determined by the boundary of the shoreline. God made its limitation. Just like us, we know how far we can do and apart from Him we can do nothing. We owe everything to God and the only thing God wants is to see us pleasing Him. Jesus' obedience to the Father is the best example of pleasing God. And through that God gained respect and honour.

Our faith in God is worth fighting for. Believe that God is in control, He is with us to guide us and He gives path to walk with us. Give your full submission into His will. And see what God can do to your life beyond the boundaries.

Don't Be Afraid!

And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah 1:8

People have their own fears in life. But God is always there to encourage us and lead us to the right path. When we are afraid, God is telling us to focus on His words. Listen to what He is saying and trust what he is going to do. He commands us to wait and see what He can do.

The only fear He allows is the fear of Him. Once we aware that God is watching us and He catches us rebelling to Him, we place our life in His discipline though it's not abandoning but it's allowing us to suffer the consequences of sins. And so we need to repent right away that leads to His mercy and love. if we don't have fear we are in His perfect peace.

God Says: I'm Home!

This is what the LORD says: "The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest? -Isaiah 66:1

Yes, have you paused for a while to mediately answer these questions? As if we're okay and have come justified. We can say that "anyway the show must go on. What would they think of me? I need to be strong and I achieve these things to God. A little mistakes make no sense with me, am sure God will forgive me."

Wait until God disciplines you. God never spares even a dot of sin. We must fear God and try hard not to sin. We must pass his standard of holiness. Don't try to cover it with your past achievements or drag about what you know. God did not even think any of it. What most matters to Him is what your heart fills.

My hand made them; that is how they came to be," says the LORD. I show special favor to the humble and contrite, who respect what I have to say. -Isaiah 66:2

We realized then we have done nothing. God made it: Build its foundation through laying down our life, expand its horizon with a humble heart and a contrite spirit. God will be more gladly rest in us as He listens to every longings of our soul. And God would stay until favors come on you and your household. And truly He's home!

How's Your Life Going On These Days?

For just as the ground produces its crops and a garden yields its produce, so the sovereign LORD will cause deliverance to grow, and give his people reason to praise him in the sight of all the nations. -Isaiah 61:11

As an individual we all have needs: need to be loved, need to be strong and tough. And as we go on through life's journey we always deal with obstacles, struggles and challenges that when we walk the wrong paths we can't go back and walk the other way. Life teaches lessons of perseverance and endurance.

There's reason in life that I am thankful for: it's the guidance and the kindness of God. God never leaves me confused and discouraged. He is always prepared to do a good thing for me. Though I always do wrong things He also gives me reason to praise Him no matter what I've been through and where I am right now. It's His principle and character I admire God most, he never changes and still the same. Everything will grow sufficiently for He is in control.

How is it going on in your life? Where are you coming from? Are you in doubt and confused? How long you've been waiting for God to answer your prayer? Have you missed something that you need to do but it's already gone?

I have an answer that keeps me going on and pursuing my dreams: the Lord will always cause me to praise Him for He will never leave me empty-handed but full of favors and reasons to praise Him. He will be honored for He has the power to do extraordinarily to an ordinary person like me and so do you!

Go and reason to God. He is plotting to do a good thing to you right now!

Why Pain Exists

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back. Isaiah 38:17

Whenever we face trial the Lord shows His mercy through His answers. We don't have to regret each trial that passed in our lives. It means broken spiirit that God can't despise. It means love He kept us from falling. And it means forget what is behind and look forward what is ahead. God always do His part in His own miraculous and mysterious ways. No one knows what He's going to do but it's always for our own benefit.

Do you have any fear that someday God won't keep you from His love? Have you sinned against Him? There's always second chance, it never ends. Jesus died on the cross for you, He will do it again if it is the way for you to go back in His love. There's no greater love than this!

Let your heart be broken for God cannot despise you. Pray and turn to Jesus.

To Be Honored is To Be Fair

An honorable man makes honorable plans; his honorable character gives him security. -Isaiah 32:8

"If God is for us who can be against us?" that was the first thought that came into my mind. And another thing: Love begets love. Good attracts good.

Start living a clean life. It attracts trust, honor, honesty, peace, joy and love. If ever you're in a bad situation because of what you've done in the past, it's not yet too late. There's always time to do the right thing. You have your choice even problem may seem to produce if you do it rightly, but then it is fair for everyone. And in the end, it's honorable in God's sight. "Fairness will produce peace and result in lasting security." -Isaiah 32:17

What Lies Beneath the Resurrection of Jesus

Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction. -Isaiah 29:24

We know that anyone can do wrong and can deceive. Anyone can be blind and can't see the truth. Maybe one in your surroundings are like that. Or maybe you are seeing them in pain because of wrongdoings in life that push them to hate even themselves. They are crushed in spirit and broken hearted. And they need help. The Lord had given us hope and made a promise that those who will believe in their hearts that Jesus is alive and He can save them from misery, will be taken away and wiped the tears in their eyes! They will gain understanding about life and will start listening to obey Him.

The story of resurrection of Jesus Christ is very significant in every person. We have life after death for those who repent from their sin and acknowledge that apart from God they are doomed to destruction and even eternal death.

Let's pray and act for those who are not morally upright, driven by greediness and selfishness and those who are unconscious of their sins. They need to know that Jesus is alive to get them from misery and change them into new person!

Why don't you do it now?!

How to Ask for a Sign

"Ask for a confirming sign from the LORD your God. You can even ask for something miraculous." -Isaiah 7:11

This was the Lord who spoke to Ahaz. But Ahaz answered he will never put the Lord to a test. It was a test of faith. If he asked he may be worried about winning the battle. It's the matter of the heart.

Before we ask the Lord for a sign and put Him to a test, be sure that our hearts are gladly obeying His each instruction to us. You may think of Gideon who asked for a sign or maybe you may think of David, Solomon, Jacob, Abraham, Moses, Paul, Peter, and other characters in the bible who have seen God through signs and miracles.

God has a purpose in your life. See to it that your journey is in line in that purpose. And we may ask for a sign or even miracle it doesn't matter to Him as long as his plan prevails in our lives. Obey Him first and we will see his signs and even miracles taking place in our family, work and even in our community.

Whom Will I Fear?

I heard the voice of the sovereign master say, "Whom will I send? Who will go on our behalf?" I answered, "Here I am, send me!" -Isaiah 6:8

This was the prophet Isaiah whose sins were forgiven and whose evil doings were removed. Instantly he said to the Lord "here I am, send me!" Once the sins and evil were removed by the Lord the next move is to follow Him. Sins blur our spiritual eyes and cause us to be in distant with the Lord. But God cleansed and healed Isaiah, he will surely be used for His glory.

Lets have a different angle which i got from this verse. God hates sins so much, He even destroyed and ruined the city until it's completely abandoned so that it will not cause people to sin! (Isaiah 6:11-13). We can't live with sins!

God expects us to grow spiritually. Sin makes us stagnant. It will not make us fruitful. It will destroy you even the smallest sins we keep in our lives. Don't say that you're only human prone to sin. God sees us if we really try to obey Him.

We need to tell God of all our evil deeds and repent while there is time. Even the smallest sin it may call. Fear God for He may not regret to bring us into the lake of fire!

How To Go Over A Day Of Protection

Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over its convocations a cloud and smoke by day and a bright flame of fire by night; indeed a canopy will accompany the LORD's glorious presence. By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat, as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour. -Isaiah 4:5-6

God separated day and night for people to distinguish what God can do during these times of crisis or calamities. God will make a canopy of protection for those He loves. During daytime there will be like a tabernacle to enjoy the time for worship, service and pleasure. And during night time, this would be like a place of refuge where people could enjoy the time of rest and security. God can do miracles and wonders in times of distress.

So whatever situations we have right now, reflect on what God can do to us right now. Clean up (the mess we built in our life), change our clothes (mantle of humility) and make ourselves ready for service. He will let us come to enjoy His daytime and night time canopies of protection, His God's presence.

Even Earthquakes Can't Move It!

In the last days the mountain of the lord's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the lord from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2-3

Based on this scripture the Mount Zion is the basis of instruction to mankind. It is the essential guide for living. There are so many issues about religion but in the end the Law of the Lord rules over them. Those who seek honest and true God will find it. Many will receive and find comfort in this mountain of the Lord for His word is truth and this truth shall set people free.

How about looking for a place that even earthquakes won't affect it? Have you heard anything? Am sure God's mountain is the best safety place to go. There's no other place that is more secure and safe than this. Did God invite you to come to his mountain? He invites those He cleansed and made upright before Him. So come and go up! "Who may ascend the mountain of the lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god." Psalm 24:3-4.

What is it you want from the Lord?

Come, let's consider your options," says the LORD. "Though your sins have stained you like the color red, you can become white like snow; though they are as easy to see as the color scarlet, you can become white like wool. -Isaiah 1:18

When I became a Christian, life has been changed. I've experienced joy and enthusiasm to enjoy and be secure in this life. I felt as I was floating on air because God washed me and cleansed me of my sins. I Have a true meaning of life with God on my side. It's been a wonderful time of my life!

And now what? What if that time had passed and the feeling had gone? I begun struggling around my work, my family and my friends. This is how God's unending love came into my life. When I prayed for help, for others, when I worshiped Him, when I obeyed Him, there's an unspeakable joy that came into my heart and It surpassed the first one and the first time I ever received the Lord as my Lord and Savior. Surely there's so much of God's loving kindness waiting ahead of me! Though I am not perfect, God has been good to me and my sins had taken away. "Though my sins have stained me like the color red, I become white like snow!"

That's how God works every now and then to my life! What about you? What is it you want from the Lord?

Waiting For The Honeymoon?

Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires. Song of Solomon 8:4

Love is pure and kind. It does not force anyone to get it. It borns as it pleases. I will continue to love the Lord until I finally be drawn to Him. God planted this love on me, I will continue to nourish and I know He will always be there to take care the love He planted on me. This love I have will forever be with me and it will not be taken away from me.

Being the bride of Christ, we love the Lord so much and He will take us away to bring us into His garden and nourish. This garden is full of love and peace and joy. The wedding is over and how much more we take delight in the moment of our honeymoon with the Lord. This moment is the beginning of never ending purity and holiness. There is no pain nor tears but so much happiness. We will be safe and secure.

Come Lord Jesus take part of me. May you find this love pure, gentle and strong. Take this life as it pleases you. I worship you and I give you praise my love and my King!

Did You Miss the Day?

Ecclesiastes 11:6
"Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well."

Each day has its own impact in the lives of the people. Whether this day is good or bad, whether it's full of or no excitement at all or whether it's tragic or awesome, days sum up one's life condition.

God has a perfect plan each day. If we do not ask God what each day may bring, we might miss His guidance and advice.

Our Father in heaven is really a parent to us. He guides us, he loves to take care of us and He wants only the best for us. That's why He did not lay down all what's going to happen next for we might not need Him anymore. As parents, we want our children to step the stage of life one at a time so that they may be able to stand, learn and guide through life's journey. Life is not always perfect but we can prepare and determine the best steps God wants for us each day. Let's reflect today, his promise is always plotting to do a good thing for us.

What's In Your Brain?

If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.

Our brain as the center of our thoughts and understanding, is our intellect power to choose what is right and wrong. If we don't feed our brain with knowledge and understanding the minds become dull and may not function well. When facing with challenges there's difficulty and exerts more strength. It's not easy to control and has less power to overcome it. We need to sharpen our brain.

Just like our faith in God. Spiritual discipline feeds the mind and heart. We need to sharpen our faith by Prayer and His Word. That's the time a person may gain access to the throne of mercy, live wealthy in wisdom and lavish the Father's love. This is the answer for our fears and worries, our struggles and battles in this life for no one is exempted from these hardships. Get Wisdom from a Woman

while I was still searching but not finding— I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.

This is true. I have noticed that women are too emotional than men. Their over sensitivity made them irrational and can easily be depressed. God created women as weaker partners of men so that men may cherish and love women with tenderness and care.

Because of this, I am not discouraged if no one had seen upright among women. I am blessed being a woman. Surely God has a purpose of this: Though we are vulnerable but God lifted us up when we were created to give birth to and raise man through us.

The Life Cycle

Have you ever thought of facing again what has done in the past whether good or bad especially the most painful and dreadful situations you have ever experienced? Surely you will try to skip those tragic moments: maybe some errors in decision, a loss of a job or someone you love, the cause of disobedience, accidents or maybe some unruly and uncontrollable situations but you know you can do something about it. God revealed that he did not intend to make it happen but trying to show us what He would like us to prepare in advance.

He gives another chance to foresee our lives' path with careful analysis in order for us to be safe and secure this time, and to grow while others are doing the same thing. There's so much we can learn from one another, helping and comforting one another that we have something in common, we are not alone in this life and we can do the right thing on the right way.

Jesus always has the answer for the fulfillment of everything in our life. If we always come to Him and make Him Lord of our life. We can be sure of eternal blessings and rewards. Give God a 100% of our heart and we will never go wrong.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11.

One key to success is how people enjoy their work. That was King Solomon said in this verse. I interpreted it that it is also a reward from God. Then, how many of us would say that success comes from our hard labor and perseverance? It doesn't matter how you find your success, as long as it is in the principle of God. God wants us to enjoy life, that's why He gives wisdom, knowledge and joy for those who ask.

I have tried so many times to succeed but only the way I did that pleased Him succeeded. If you ask me why wicked people succeed, wait until God transferred the wealth to the righteous, that's what it is!

Failures come when my mind is full of worries and pain. I should know what matters most to God: For no one can eat and drink or experience joy apart from Him. -Ecclesiastes 2:25

It's Time to Celebrate!

Dear Pastors and Wives of WIN Family,

Greetings in the name of Jesus, our Savior, Christ, the Lord. As we approach another joyous celebration of Christ's birth, we will be having our Pastors’ Wives Get-Together Party on December 3, 2010, Friday, 6-9pm at “WIN San Andres (Manila Outreach) Prayer Garden” (Venue address is Perlita Corner Marmol Sts., Bgy. 764 Zone 83 near PNR Vito Cruz Station, Manila). Our contribution fee is P200.00 per couple. You could give it during registration on the day of the event. Our husbands can join us during dinner but definitely they will have their own fellowship nearby.

This get-together (for pastors’ wives only) will be a time of feasting, fellowship and fun as well as a time to share feelings, interests and experiences with other pastors’ wives. We will be establishing a relationship together through praying and reading of God’s word. A time to see where we have been, where we are and where we are going as “Wives” of men who are pastors.

I encourage you to come and join us with all the Pastors' Wives of your church. Let us gratefully re-commit ourselves to praying and fellowship, encouraging and serving, and demonstrating mercy and grace to each other and others as we witness to Christ and watch and prepare for His return. More Than Internet Access!

Consider this illustration: You can access all your communications globally through controlling your computer anywhere, anytime, access all your files, send emails and run all your computer applications with just an Internet connection. This is how powerful Internet today. Today's generation are so excited and eager to go beyond their capabilities because of innovative approach of learning using computers and internets. Running informations across the globe can be just "a blink of an eye" away! Without it how can someone easily access all those stuff? It changes lives and even everything we are working towards life lightened. Though it simply tells us it is not the only way to approach global communications but others will go a long way for the process to reach their goal. And yet it can be destructed through viruses and instantly all your files and communications will be corrupted and hacked.

God never lost His power. His unveiling power revealed more each day. Even more so of His infinite wisdom releases the full potential of His power. So His never ending strength and glory will always spring forth for His people. Nothing compares with God.

But people measures His power with the faith they have for God. If only they can enjoy the fullness of His power they might view God's perspective differently. Only those who deeply in love with the Lord will experience the joy of His presence. And it is limitless. We can view eternity in God's eyes and see the best is yet to come. How awesome our God is! I will meditate about His power. He is my strength, my refuge in times of troubles and I can rely on Him!

You too can rely on His power. It serves 24-hour, never be infected, never be corrupted, never be bugged, never be hacked nor will never have a virus! It never runs out. :)

God Will Carry You

Psalms 55: 22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

No one else in this world could carry our burdens than the One who really is able to help and take care of us. It is the strong and mighty God of David. It is like piling your troubles into God's shoulders and He will carry your load and He will help you out.

If you are struggling right now and it seems no one to turn to. And if you tell it to others you might just add a burden to them. You think you are not getting closer to a solution. The answer is simple: Give your burdens to the Lord. David said in these verses,

1 Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help!
2 Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles.

This is the reason why God inspired the Psalmists to write what is in their hearts whether good or bad situations or feelings they're going up to, He will be there to provide solutions and comforts to any burdens.

But the reality is we make bad decisions in life and very often we slip and fall. Because we still have the freedom to do things on our own. Does God leave us off? Definitely not! Who among us would say that God is tired of giving us His care and then finally He abandoned us? God will never do that, He remains faithful and forever faithful to watch us and cover us with His love.

Here's another point, burdens are not accidents but appointments to help us experience the joy of our faith in Jesus. Remember the poem, "Footprints in the Sand" it was a journey of a man with God on his side. Maybe we don't know what's ahead of us or the path we are threading for but the fact that God is walking by our side though we stumble, we will get up and walk again because we have a God who lifts us up.

Remember to turn to Him always whatever situations we are into.

Made Like A Tree

Psalm 52:8 "But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love."

Tree simply waits to grow. When storms come it does not move but it stands firm and strong. It stays and thrives for its purpose. Its fate is in God's hands.

My life is in God's hands. I am like a tree who grows in God's time. I will wait for His direction and guidance. I will not depart from His word for it is my light to my path and the lamp to my feet. Day to day God is my shield of protection. He is my defender and in His presence I will be restored and renewed until I reach the full grown of maturity for Christ. "I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." Philippians 3:14.

I pray for those who are undergoing severe testing, that God may show them his purpose and strengthen them in their weakness.

Clean Inside Out

Clean life matters to God. It is necessary when praying and doing God's work. It's a mandate of God to work for His glory. Praise God life is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Thank God for His kindness and love in Jesus who saves us from sin and death by shedding of His blood on the cross of Calvary. We may not be perfect in living this life without sinning but one thing for sure that we will be able to receive from the throne of His grace is a wonderful flow of forgiveness if we confess.

Commit ourselves to quietly helping another person through prayer, encouragement and deed without self-recognition. We don't have to boast about how much work we do for the Lord. Ask God to keep us from pride.

Have a blessed and consecrated life everyday!

Everything I Owe It To God

Last night I got nervous because I lost important documents and money. I thought it's impossible to get it and I thought I lost it in one of the supermarkets in Makati. But then I got it inside our house! What happened? I thought I lost it! but God is teaching me something. I began to search my heart, search my motives and everything. My spirit is now looking for ways on how to thank God for He did not allow it happen. Praise be to God for everything I owe it to God! What God wants me to do is to be faithful and to be intimate in relationship with Him! Always!

Psalms 42: 5 Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and 6 my God!

Now I am deeply discouraged,
but I will remember you—

What Would Be Your Attitude Through Adversity

Psalms 37:5 Commit your future to the LORD! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.

Two weeks ago, I prayed to God on what business I would get into to support my family financially. The only thing I know is about catering which was my work before I got married. That job was 22 years ago and I have to start all over again. It's good God gave me courage to plan for it and do it. Then one of the things I did was to explore it through studies and research. I was encouraged with the NY Post which I found on the Internet talking about Oprah's new cable channel, she said, "I know that as I start out on this next chapter, there's going to be some mistakes. I know there's going to be some stumbles. I know I'm a work in process and progress. I know nothing new is perfect, but I'm not scared. I'm not afraid."

I like the way Oprah confronts her adversity in life, I don't know what would be her purpose but one thing I realized that the fact it's true: what our attitude would be to face a new challenge in life. I am in this next chapter of my life, it's not that easy, but I am committing my future to the Lord. In the Lord's behalf, I know there would be changes, storms and trials but God is my deliverer and I will grow through this until I reach the goal He sets for me, 'to be of help with other people that ends with a Christ-like attitude.

While There Is Time

Psalms 32:6 For this reason every one of your faithful followers should pray to you while there is a window of opportunity. Certainly when the surging water rises, it will not reach them.

It's so hard to cover up sins. It's like you are drowned by water and can't breathe. Much better to confess and be freed from guilt. It's the same, why take it so long if you will do it later. You will take the pain much longer. Or if there's something happen, won't you change your mind and confess it?

The Lord instructs us to confess while there is time. Definitely He will rescue us and deliver us and lightens the pain of the consequences of what we have done.

Where will you go? Still we can't hide from the Lord. Only the Lord knows the thoughts of our hearts. Even in our silence we are still sinning. We need to be pure, right, true, lovely, praiseworthy and noble. He will not certainly allow His people to continue sinning while in His arms.

Ask yourself with this truth: Am I noble before the Lord? Confess while there is time. Be more than ordinary person. Live an extra mile for God. For such like you, you are created to be an extra-ordinary man and woman of God.

We Are Still In God's Favor

Psalms 31:19 How great is your favor, which you store up for your loyal followers! In plain sight of everyone you bestow it on those who take shelter in you.

God is our shield of protection. He gives favor to those who take shelter in Him. Once God said that he will shelter you with protection, He means it though we don't deserve it. We are still in God's favor. I've seen the Lord's faithfulness since I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior and I know until the end God will protect me and even my family. I've lots of answered prayers. All my needs were given, everything is favored and my life has been continually restored, forgiven, accepted, delivered and renewed.

What more could I ask for? I will always bring back the good things God has poured out on me with praises and thanksgiving. And yet God makes me strong through the bad things happened in me. And I know my heart will go on praising and loving Him until eternity.

Do Something Different!

Psalms 29:9 God's thunder sets the oak trees dancing
A wild dance, whirling; the pelting rain strips their branches.
We fall to our knees—we call out, "Glory!"

What a wonderful description of power of God poured out from the heart of the writer! It's so lovely to hear words from different perspective! He uses dance (even wild dance) to describe the beauty and power of His creation. And in the end, we see that all knees bend and cry "Glory!"

How far have we known Him through his awesome character and might? can we describe Him the way the psalmist did it to Him? We have to spend more time to God so that His character will be more exposed and revealed.

Today I will do something different. Here are my words:

God makes the menu so tasteful and sumptuous!
The world has offered everything but God reserved
The luxurious and delightful meal for those who trust Him.
So why don't you invite Him?
See and taste that the Lord is good!

God Is Waiting Too!

Psalm 27: 14 Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

Some people might see waiting won't be their choice, if only they can speed up the time of waiting they will do so. But waiting always gives a right perspective when it comes to character molding. None of us will like to wait forever. We will do something rather to wait more longer. God said in this verse that we have to be brave and courageous in order to be firmed in waiting. God has many examples of waiting on how He waited for the perfect timing to reveal Jesus as our Lord and Savior. He must first suffered and passed the agony on the cross before He will be enthroned again in heaven.

Is there something you long for? Patiently wait for it. God is committed to do something for you. His desire for you never changes. He wants to do something good for you. Never will God allow you to be unprepared before He comes and is ready to bring you up together with Him to reign in His kingdom. God is waiting too!

Have You Seen the Glow of God's House Lately?

When we examine our hearts, we come boldly to the presence of God so that we can ask forgiveness and receive mercy. The process is not easy. We all know that there are times we are not ready to come to Him because we harbor sins. We can't see light and overwhelm with fear and worries. When times like these, we need to consider our encounters we experienced with God. Face the truth, you are not the only one who sins against Him but everybody. Others return because they ask for forgiveness. Life is a matter of choice. Choose the truth that Jesus loves you and He may even think of coming back to the cross just to uphold you. Are you going to let that happen? I don't think so. One cross is enough for a soul to keep on coming back to His love. so you can say, "God, I love living with you; your house glows with your glory." (The Message)

Do You Really Trust Him?

This is good about God, He will never let us be disgraced because we decided to trust Him and we gave our life to Him. God is teaching us to be dependent on Him. He didn't force us to give our life to Him and yet we need to, it is the only way to test us how dependent we are from Him. Are we doing some serious decisions in life? Do you trust Him? Make every effort to show your trust through the faith you have from Him.

Interlude

God calls His people to come up on His holy hill. He calls those who have pure hearts and clean hands. We are aware that sin in the life of a person makes him unclean and unholy. As followers of Christ, we need to come into the presence of God so that we are effective to spread His ministry. Holiness is prerequisite to be intimate with Him and do His will. That is when the time we really have intimate relationship with Him. We will share its blessing and receive the ultimate call of our Savior.

Father God continue to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Forgive me and search my heart if there's anything that will hinder my intimacy with you. Reveal to me the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit within me.

I Have Enough

That's God faithfulness ever since. He is there to lift me up and makes me stand when I am down. But He also disciplines me. The reason why I haven't have more and yet I have enough to go on in this life. God makes sure that I'll be alright in spite of lack. Only the Lord knows best for me. He will never withhold a blessing. I should fight for the enemy who hinders my blessing. And the most important of all is to live in Christ with full assurance that I will be in His presence forever.

The Lord is my source of strength, wisdom and love. So nothing will hinder me to praise Him in public. Forever He never leaves me nor forsakes me. This is the time to make a promise- I will fulfill His calling and I promise to be true and faithful to Him no matter what. I will pray for all people to come to salvation, restoration, healing and to his people: abundance in faith and in wealth. With fear and trembling, I decided to make a promise so that God will hear me and remind me of it.

How Do You describe Your Obedience?

I know I can depend on God. He is the answer to all my problems. But it seems that I don't take priority on what God is teaching me. On verse 3 says that "may God notice my offerings," does it describe my obedience? Obedience is better than sacrifice. The Lord doesn't need my offering. My dependence on Him describes my obedience. It's His after. What dependence does God require of me? It shows by my actions and words.

Lord I know my time is still lacking. I need to discipline myself to get more time with You. So that I may know what is in your plan for the day, for the week, for the month, for the years to come. Cleanse me Lord, that I may be pleasing in your sight.

That's What Love Is For

I was just reminded by the Lord on how I experienced being born again until now. God is really good, he is so faithful to his promises. If I encountered something bad in my life before, I knew God was there to help me and He was there to guide and teach me to change and renew my heart. This chapter made me pondered more about his love for us. Though his majesty speaks more louder, yet I need only his whisper of love in my dying spirit. How can I bring back the love he has poured out on me? May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you oh Lord. (Verse 14)

I Am Too Much Of A Sinner!

What Is Your Common Problem?

Psalms 17:15 As for me, because I am innocent I will see your face; when I awake you will reveal yourself to me.

The Psalmist again shared what was in his heart, he had time to pray and commune with God. What's the common problem of people who have lots of worries and don't know what to do? It's because they don't share their problems to God and so they seldom pray.

I neglect to devote myself into prayer. That's why I am confused, tired, worried, feared and feeling bitter. I have so many concerns that I neglect to do the right thing. I am pressured to work and I need a job. I have an ill father that I need to call. I have errands. I have to fix things. And I have obligations to do in the house and top of it, responsibilities to my children. What's my point of revealing these? Only God can change it. I have sinned and it's time to forgive, it's time to accept things, it's time to ask forgiveness and mercy. Fix everything the way God wants it to be. Be innocent and be free. Everything will be fine and it helps solve problems. It gives clear direction and peaceful mind. What's the most important thing? To be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, clear conscience and a genuine faith so that I may be able to pursue this life in righteousness and mercy. (1 Timothy 1:5)

Who Are With You Anyway?

There are still people who are trustworthy. David found people who are loyal and honest to him. That's why he said godly people are his true heroes. From the time of war and rest they were there serving David in every way. People can be honest and loyal to us if we are honest and loyal too. God is our honesty and loyalty, people will notice our genuine and true faith in God. God shows no partiality, He is concern to everyone and we could not separate it. If we really truly love God it will reflect to others. And for that responds to faith, God honors us with joy and light of His presence and we will live according to His promises: the pleasures of living with Him forever!

Who are with you right now? Are you aware of them? Consider them as your true heroes. Take pleasure in them and look for ways that you can be of blessing to them.

Are We Really Ready for Worship?

Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? 2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. 3 Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends. 4 Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the Lord, and keep their promises even when it hurts. 5 Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

What a perfect timing to learn new insights from God. When we enter the sanctuary of the Lord, we are called to be pure, sanctified, consecrated and holy. Nevertheless we wasted our worship. Learn to forgive and spot our weaknesses to change so that we may be able to see and enter into his presence. That's the only time we can enter and proceed to worship our Lord.

Are we really ready for worship? Don't bring any baggage of sins. It will ruin our desires to please God and see what's in His heart. Always remember that God is ready to receive us no matter what's in us. It may be hard but God is too good to be unkind, His decision is too wise to be mistaken. Then if we can't see His guiding hands, just trust Him, we will never stumble and He will make us stand firm forever.

What Occupies Your Life?

God created man in His own image that's why He looks down from heaven and see if there's someone who is righteous in His sight and so does no one in this world. I believe God didn't want to see us like that forever. He has a plan: when Jesus came and saved us.

Today my question is, are we overwhelming with cares of this world? I am not saying that we don't have to work, care for our family and home. But at least we step back for a while and see what's His purpose for all of these. God is our protector and our security. We are meant for His pleasure not for us to seek good life for our comfort. With all these toils in life, if we seek God and His righteousness, we will be amazed on what God can do. We will receive mercy, abundance, possessions, and inheritance for our primary concern is to please Him. Exemplify our life to the one who created us.

Lord sorry for what I did. My mind has run with many thoughts that I forgot to slow down and stop for a moment giving time to seek your will. May the fruits of my labor be according to Your will as I run this journey on what pleases You.

How Long?!

Psalms 13:5 But I trust in your faithfulness. May I rejoice because of your deliverance! 6 I will sing praises to the LORD when he vindicates me.

This is what the psalmist brought his matter to God, in Psalms 13:1, "How long, LORD, will you continue to ignore me? How long will you pay no attention to me?" Have you asked God the same questions as these? And in his ending the psalmist went to this, "5 But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. 6 I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me." No matter how long the hardships and difficulties may take, the ending is still God will never forsake us. It's up to us if waiting will change us or exhaust us. We need to give time to understand his plans and act according to his will. Do what pleases Him and make the most out of it. Trust his faithfulness and rejoice in His deliverance for we know as we anticipate those days to come, the more we will be uprooted. The heart that trusts God is the heart that expects miracles.

Get Refined Seven Times

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

God's word purifies the heart. If we are not careful about what is coming into our hearts, we will be entrapped to negative thoughts and be depressed for each heart is deceiver. Only God can change it. Our only hope is God.

Silver get pure results when purifies seven times. That is what will happen into our hearts if we receive God's word fully. It changes agendas, motives, plans and desires to God's way. From glory to glory God purifies the heart.

Whenever we find ourselves lost and confused, we can depend on the word of God. It's living and active, it reaches the very deep things of the soul and revives the strength of the spirit.

Here's my point: Wash your hands (deeds) before you eat (feast in the Lord's Presence) so you can see and taste that the Lord is good!

Is That The Way God Wants it?

Psalms 11:7 Certainly the LORD is just; he rewards godly deeds; the upright will experience his favor.

When God blesses people He is pleased. He never holds a blessing. He wants always to bless people especially those who do godly deeds and those who are upright.

But most often we are reluctant to ask God about our desires. We feel that we don't deserve anything and we look for ways on how we are going to have it. And sometimes accept that life is difficult. So we seldom receive an answer to prayer.

Is that the way God wants it? I don't think so. God has promised us a beautiful life on earth. He rewards whoever He chooses. He has compassion to those He thinks He deserves mercy. He is just. God loves us and He is willing to uplift us in times of storms and difficulties.

Restore your relationship to God and be willing to be generous like what others do because they give too. And God will see what you did for others and will reward you.

The Word of God is living and active and so must be the hearers. We should live by His word and be active in faith. If God says He will hear our cries and comforts us, he will do so. If God says He will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed He will do so for He can't disown His people and he can't be deaf to their cries, and He will never be unfaithful for He is always faithful.

It's amazing to hear that God is present to those who need Him. I know poverty brings trouble to family, and this time, my prayer is to break the poverty and cause me to walk in wisdom with God. I will not worry about what the future lies ahead of us but I will trust the Lord for I am helpless and God is my defender.

Motherhood is not an easy task, but a day to day trust in the Lord. No one is capable of being a good mother or a good wife, only the Lord refines and enhances so that she may be called blessed with a noble character.

God I love You, I have no one to turn to but You. Jesus you're my Savior, help me to overcome sins and I want to be a good mother, a wife and a good financial supporter for my family.

There are lots of bad things happened because of the bad people. Whether they are in the politics, government, companies, and even in the surroundings. They acted as if there's no God at all. That's why David repeatedly cried to the Lord for help. Our God will never fail to take vengeance for the poor and needy. He will crush down all who defy Him. So why slipping in a corner? You need His Touch! Get up and walk for the Lord our God is present in times of trouble. Let's rejoice and be glad for He is abundant in mercy and grace.

What is Man that You Are Mindful of Him?

Psalm 8:4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? 5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

God is awesome in beauty, in power and in glory. Notice how David described God who is to be feared with trembling. God is perfectly humbled to mind his creation and so do His Son to make Him lower than the heavenly beings just to save man from sin.

Are we silent and feared that we have sinned against Him? This chapter is more than enough to say His love and His power. May the thoughts of our hearts be pleasing to God. We are nothing but we learned that we are so loved by God. Why waste our life to nothing? make the most out of it. Live life with purpose that will make Him happy. God deserves our everything. I am sure enough that He will be glad to see us overcoming any obstacles that will hinder us to come to Him in prayer and in worship. So come and be restored.

Prayer:
God, I want to express everything to you. Your beauty and Your love captures me always. You never failed me when I come to You. I offer my life to You as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You. I will be Your servant for the rest of my life.

Psalm 7:8 let the LORD judge the peoples. Judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High. 9 O righteous God, who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.

It was indeed tiring to hear those heart aches rendered by the Psalmist. Does God really get tired too to hear those words? of course not! He is willing to listen again and again for us to be comforted and secured. People may get tired and left you if you do that always. You may get upset and irritated if someone is always saying that to you.
This reminds me of the love God has poured out on us. The love that covers the multitudes of mistakes and shortcomings. It's right thing to do the way David controls his anger and worries through giving time to pray and write what is in his heart and bring back the praises to God in spite of hardships of being the King of the land.
Let me tell you this, God is willing to listen to your ups and downs, to your happy moments and lots of sad moments. He never gets tired and weary. He is strong and controls everything in your life. So why don't you listen too, and be guided by His peace. No matter what happens, let the "God of peace which transcends all understanding will guard you heart and your mind in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).

Prayer Concerns:
God forgive me when my heart feels so uncomfortable for those people who shared their problems on and on. May your love grow deep within me so that I can be of help to those who need it.

For those who are counselors, teachers, mentors, pastors, disciplers, friends, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters will never get tired of listening to someone who needs it. Pray for wisdom and encouraging spirit to be poured out on them. May they be also comforted with the assurance of God's love everyday.

Psalm 6:9 (New International Version)

9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.

God is really good. He allows things to happen one at a time. He allows bad and good times in his perfect timing. Today's reading made me ponder about the things when I was so upset and sad, time when I was crying bitterly for what was happening to me and no one to turn to but God. And this time is a different story, I felt God's presence and am happy to feel of being alone and relaxed with Him. It's David's way of intimacy with God when he felt sad or happy. David is a man after God's own heart. Though he had so many problems and trials, he never failed to praise and glorify God in heaven by being dependent in Him like what he expressed in Psalm 6. The problems and trials are still there, but the good thing is, today we can be relaxed and felt the need of being in God's presence. So are you happy or sad? Be like David's mind.

My prayer Concerns:

1. Goodness of God be felt everyday within the house and my surroundings... need to go out and share his goodness.
2. My family in Cavite be always safe and healthy.
3. My Family here including my in laws be safe and secured wherever they go.
4. My relatives here in Bangkal be released in their problems and in good health specially Lola Monang and Ate Baby.
5. That I will meet Joey and ate Esther within this week. Today is the day of my visitation.

6. That our nation be manifested of true humanity. May we love our countrymen more than any policies we made. That our policies reflect human welfare and consideration. (I heard the news that Cebu pacific didn't allow doctors to bring human specimen like kidney in the airplane because of the so-called policies, the result: the kidney was wasted, not delivered in time).

7. All workers of WIN Pasig be blessed today by our Lord: financial breakthrough, faithful in giving of tithes and offering, good health, safe and secured wherever they go, spiritual highness and restoration of the families.

8. All Pastor and Spouses be financially capable and spiritually mature throughout their life. Increase their faith and love for other people.

9. Grant my request that all WIN pastors' wives in MM be active again when I texted them to meet with me: Lenie, Tina, Dina, Mely, Mai, Linda, Remy, Malou, Rowie, Rosette, Lorie, Dolly. That they're all ok and faithful to support their husbands in the ministry.

10. Pray for pastors and missionaries in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, china, US, LAs Vegas, UK, Canada, LA, Hong Kong... that they may feel God's love everyday, financially secured blessed by their congregation, restored family, better children with no rebellious spirit, and give them more workers to support God's work in their place.

Hakka Dance

Just a short background... I am now attending the Public Speaking class in our church. And as part of the course, we have to do our assignments to speak before our class.

My assignment is about the word "Hakka." So I search on the internet using google, youtube and read some blogs to find out what this Hakka was all about. As I watched some videos and read some articles, it became interesting to me. By the way, I was little confused with the word "Haka" (with singular k) and the word "Hakka" (with double k), same sound but have different meaning. So I decided to talk about the word "Haka" with the singular K.

Here's what I found:

According to Wikipedia, Haka (singular is the same as plural: haka) is the traditional dance form of the Māori of New Zealand. It is a posture dance performed by a group, with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet with rhythmically shouted accompaniment.

Most people correlates the use of Haka as a war dance, which was performed by all Blacks rugby union team that became so familiar and it led to misinterpretation. Haka are not only performed by men but also by women and some simple Haka are performed by children.

And also, according to the article on the web: www.allblacks.com, Haka is the generic name for all Maori dance. Today, haka is defined as that part of the Maori dance repertoire where the men are to the fore with the women lending vocal support in the rear. Most haka seen today are haka taparahi, haka without weapons.

More than any aspect of Maori culture, this complex dance is an expression of the passion, vigour and identity of the race. Haka is not merely a past time of the Maori but was also a custom of high social importance in the welcoming and entertainment of visitors.

Haka reflected the concerns and issues of the time, of defiance and protest, of factual occurrences and events at any given time.

That's all for the word "Haka." I have just given a short information about it.

Now I'll tell you some insights I have gained in searching for the word Haka. As I have told you a while ago that this word became interesting to me, because I watched on the YouTube, some rugby players who performed this dance before their matches that eventually intimidated their enemy to win the game. It's very entertaining and fascinating how they have done this fearful and intimidating war dance. It describes more clearly if you watch some video clips on the YouTube.com.

Christians have to fight for their enemies, enemies that can't be seen nor heard, the devil. It's spiritual and has something to do with our souls fighting the battle between heaven and hell. it is also, how we win this battle by running the race God has prepared for us. As we all know that nothing happens on earth cannot be manifested in heaven. The bible says in Matthew 16:19, "Whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." and also in Ephesians 6:12 says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." God knows no boundaries when it comes to destroy those who oppose Him like Satan. We need to attack the enemies by being like-minded. The key is worship, It exposes the depths of our hearts. Thus, music and dance become tools to bring us to worship God and release us from any works the enemy has placed in our souls. Through worship, our enemy will be intimidated to work in us. It releases us from any guilt and shame and brings us righteousness, peace, joy,and love that penetrates our souls to win this battle.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

For some time, I have been praying to God about my desire to reach out our pastors' wives and wanting to encourage them in their ministry. I initiated to call a few for a dinner-prayer-bonding that will eventually leads us to do the job of supporting our husbands and enhancing our own ministry and that will impact in our own local church.

Let me say it to all the pastors' wives who read this -- I appreciate you. We're in this together and you are a valuable member of God's team! What most important is that you deserve to be valued with your own contribution and support in the ministry.

More Than Enough

Relate. I got a feeling that as a church, how far can we give to the needs of the church? Life is so hard today. How can we manifest our love for the Lord if only few gives generously? That's really matter as a church.

Decide. I can give more than enough of what I am giving right now. Pray that the members will give more than enough for the needs of the church.

It Is Not Within My Power

Open the bible. Gen 41: 8 In the morning he was troubled, so he called for all the diviner-priests of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.
16 Joseph replied to Pharaoh, "It is not within my power, but God will speak concerning the welfare of Pharaoh."
46 Now Joseph was 30 years old when he began serving Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph was commissioned by Pharaoh and was in charge of all the land of Egypt.
57 People from every country came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain because the famine was severe throughout the earth.

Relate to the passage. Future is in the hands of God. Joseph led by God had interpreted the dream of pharaoh. And it was so amazing to hear that God will allow us to know what will happen in the future if we Obey God like what Joseph did. God is glorified using Joseph as his vessel. Am I a vessel of God? Use me Lord to be the channel of knowing your future for the youth that may be ready for God's kingdom.

Decide to apply. To share what the Lord is saying to me during these times of preparation through teachings and impartation. Lord may You be glorified like what Joseph did to you.

Why do you look so sad today?

Relate to the passage. Joseph was in prison but still he managed to ask the pharaoh's cupbearer's "why do you look so sad?" Joseph knew that there's nothing to worry about in this world, he ministered quickly to those who were with him. For God is ready to listen and hear his prayers.

Decide to apply. Learn the lessons well from any trials and experiences God allowed to happen in my life. Be sure that there’s always hope and perseverance.

The Lord Was With Him

Relate to the passage. It only means that if I really love God there's no way but obey Him and the rest will follow. I am in the business right now and I want to hear what God is saying, asking that I might be successful. Thank you Lord for the wisdom.

Decide to apply. Never neglect my duty to hear God by reading His word. This business is to finance the Gospel and to support my family's needs.

Open the bible: Gen 18:19 I have chosen him so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just. Then the LORD will give to Abraham what he promised him."

Relate to the passage: God saw a unique and different character to Abraham. He was a man of faith and obedience. He really worshiped God in his time, that's why choosing him made God known and honored. Looking back in the time Abraham haven't received his promises, he made God his priority over all his doings. I maybe do things for God, I may have faith and honor God in everything I do, but the question is how often did I really listen and obey God's call? Somebody shared to me about her going out to preach the Gospel, pray for the sick and bless the poor. It is the reason why God the Son came down from heaven to meet the needs of those who need it. God's timing in doing things for Him attained through listening and devotion. Then God will say to me, I have chosen you so that you may command your children and your household after you to keep My way by doing what is right and just. Then I will give to you what I promised to you."

Decide to apply: I am really honest to say that it's not enough I offered and sacrificed my everything to God when I knew sometimes I failed and had no strength to serve Him. I have failed to devote daily, I worried and been frustrated these past few days. Forgive me Lord, let me be a kind of person who follows your ways and do what is right and just so that no sin will hinder me to accomplish goal in your perfect timing. That's the time I listened so to receive Your promise!

Ask yourself: How true are you when listening to God? Promised received through listening.

When we are in God's hands, He won't let us fall and when He sees progression He is gradually letting us go and letting us stand on ourselves until we reach our goal to mature. So today's reading helps us see God's loving arms and guidance towards His designed plan for us. May this devotion help you to focus on God's day to day instruction!

Worship the Lord: You are My King (Amazing Love)

Open the bible: Genesis 16:2 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

Relate to the passage: From what is happening to me, I can see that God is allowing frustrations in life so that we can be tested whether we trust Him or cling on His promises. Worries come in when we don't trust God. Sarai's action proved her frustration to have a child. And aside from that when I read the whole chapter I saw the grace of God between Sarai and Hagar's gap, God is graciously helping them to not be discouraged and continue what is His plan for them. God gave instruction to hagar, in Gen 15:9 The Angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.” He has a plan for Sarai that Hagar should never leave her. And to Hagar, it is not yet time to leave Sarai. And so even in the midst of suffering the consequences of our sins, God still directs us in His plan and helps us in our own troubles.

Decide to apply: Now that I have frustrations in life, what will I do to cling on the promises of God in my life?
1. Let go of my worries. Yield on inner piece.
2. Focus on God's instructions and guidance in me so I won't do actions on my own.
3. I yield more on God's wisdom in my life through daily devotions and prayer.

Loyalty Proves Faith

Worship the Lord: Came To My Rescue
Open the bible: Gen 15:6 Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty.
Relate to the passage: as I relate, I saw the words "genuine loyalty." Abram showed his faith through his loyalty to God. Loyalty means even God seems too far, still I won't complain or trusting Him even in unfavored situation. Nowadays, I've got lot of it. Favored situations are hard to find, though I really prayed for answers. God looks far beyond what is happening now. He allows troubles so that faith release within me. That everything will be alright, that He is in control of the situation. I only have to do is to believe He can fix everything. Evaluate my life, am I being faithful to God? I know am not.
Decide to apply: Are there any sins to confess? Yes, what would my response be? I have sinned and I know God is disciplining me right now. My situation is not a big issue but it can be annoying and I believe I have to learn something on it. So, I need to repent and be humble to accept the situation. My disloyalty proves lack of faith, that's why am disappointed, it's not the way God wants me to look at it. I've learned from my mistakes. Mistakes are charged to experience so that I will not pass through it again. Thank God for He shows His unfailing love in spite of my weaknesses.

Doubly Good To Me

Just wanna share with you one of my journalings. I had begun writing again in this blog after taking a few months off. God gave me some fresh, new perspective after going through some tough times last year. I would love it if you stopped by for a chat and give some comments! Pastor Rainier (my husband) and I went to (JIL) Jesus Is Lord Church in Pasig today to attend the Dawn Watch Service. This was my third time to join them and pray for transformation. It was so refreshing and delighted to see the body of Christ worshiping and interceding for the benefit of our nation and the churches particularly in the city of Pasig.

Worshiping the Lord:
I had a wonderful time with the Lord in worship and one of the songs we sang was the "Alabaster Jar, lead by JIL Praise and Worship Team. I recalled the day when I first heard and sang that song in WIN-Mindanao Pastors Conference, Summer 2009. It was there I went up to the next level of worship to God. Indeed, it has been here until now, and remeniscing my highest call to worship Him, in extravagant, extreme worship to no other than my God and Lord Jesus Christ. Every heartbeat for His glory, All my life I surrendered and took seriously the call to follow Him no matter what the cost. Until now God sustained that call. So listen to the song and bring its atmosphere of obedience to the call within your heart, soul and mind. God bless.

Opening the bible:
Join me in reading the Word of God in Genesis 14:18-22

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said: “ Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." And he gave him a tithe of all. 21Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself.” 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that isyours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’— 24 except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.”

Relating to the Passage:
Abram is right, he is full of wisdom to say that he worshiped and have brought glory to none but our God, the Most High. Even him offered the tithe to the High Priest Melchizedek as part of His obedience to God. God knew beforehand what was going to happen before Abram gave his tithe. Then I suppose to do the same to give and allot tenth (or more than that) of what I receive from God and be faithful to it. Surely blessings will follow as I plant the seeds for His kingdom.

God really proved this to me when the first time I went to the Dawn Watch Service last Saturday, I was really encouraged to the message and a part of my service to God, I gave money for the offering. Soon enough to go home, One Pastor's Wife approached me and she gave me a piece of necklace and a cash! What a blessing! I felt so favored by God, not just because of the gifts I received but also the overwhelming presence and power of God in that place. I came to pray and worship. The unity and love as one body of Christ are just like wildfire burning within us that anybody will ignite when touched!

Decisions to apply:
My heart yearns to give more than what I can give. God is teaching me to be like Abram. As a full time worker and a Minister, and as I plan to work outside the church (God willing), I will offer the first fruit I am going to receive from it. It will be in a different perspective, I am excited to work to finance the Gospel and double my service to the ministry that flow to my family so that many will be blessed and will receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The wisdom to give more is to earn more!

My goal this year is to become an anointed minister-business woman to support my family financially and my kids' education, and to finance God's church. God is really in control. He speaks every time I read my bible and pray. Thank God for His direction and guidance for me.

Worship the Lord: None But Jesus

Open the bible: Gen 13:17 Get up and walk throughout the land, for I will give it to you." 18 So Abram moved his tents and went to live by the oaks of Mamre in Hebron, and he built an altar to the LORD there.

Relate to the passage: God saw Abram the desire to obey Him and worship Him no matter what. He immeadiately obey what the Lord commands, that's why The Lord blessed him so much. If I need answers to prayer right now, I know what to do. But my heart wonders a lot, thank God for his grace who sustains everyday. The first thing I need to do is to build an altar to the Lord. It means that when morning comes, come in worship the Lord and pray, showing of being dependent that leads me to obey God and be blessed for the rest of my life like Abram. God's vision for me is to become an Anointed Minister-Business Person.

Decide to apply: what is the Lord telling me to do right now?

1. Cast all my cares upon Him today.

2. Cheer up and worship God, looking forward to fulfill the vision.

3. Focus on God's daily instructions and take control of everything that is needed to pursue the vision.

God knew beforehand that Abram will lie on the matter that Sarai was his sister instead of his wife. But then he blessed Abram not because of his achievements but because God had a covenant with him. He chose Abram to increase his chosen nation Israel. And because of that, I know, I too had a share as co-heir of God's inheritance. If I relate to my situation, I am looking for more clear directions of God on how to start my goals this 2010. I realized that God has promised that I too will be blessed if I go beyond on what faith I have before. Now I will look forward to accomplish God's design for me.

Vision: I am anointed minister-business person by 2015,

Strategy: 1. Be a Minister-Professional-Employee this 2010.

2. To raise up my children with their callings and support my husband financially and wellness.

3. Doubly productive worker, leader, missionary and director as I support the church in financing God's kingdom.

Decide to apply: So today, if I go one mile before, then I go two miles. Sincerity and seriousness to live according to His plan for me. I conlude from this day forward, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed," Proverbs 16:3.

Relate to the Passage.
God is telling me to consider all families on earth as part of His family. God divided the nations to organize and control everything that is in their sorroundings. So to see that everything is in proper places and nothing has abandoned. After the Flood symbolized that after every trial God is there to continually help us and take care of us. He will never leave His children, His nations not intact and disorganized. He will provide ways and means to cope up in the times of needs.

1. Organize our house spiritually and its wellness.
2. Clear all wastes and unused baggages, past hurts and mistakes

W for WORSHIP the Lord

Take time in worshiping the Lord for what and who He is. Start your day, kneeling down at His feet. Use the A.C.T.S. prayer pattern and sing songs that inspire you to get closer with Him.

Be honest, listen and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

O for OPEN your bible

Open your bible to the passage you are about to read today. Or you can use the suggested reading plan found on the back page. Open your heart and ears and listen to what God is saying. When you are done, meditate on the specific verse that speaks to you and note down the verse(s) in your WORD Journal. Open your life to God.

R for RELATE to the passage

Relate to God: What is the Lord saying to you through that verse? Relate to Others: Is there anything you need to learn and understand concerning your life and those around you? Ask the help of the Holy Spirit to guide you and then write it down in your WORD Journal.

D for DECIDE to apply

When God speaks, it is for your own good. Write down the specific instructions you feel you need to obey. It may be encouragement, instruction, correction, or revelation of new promises in your life. Decide to personalize the verse. Decide to apply.

What a wonderful God I have. He created me in His own image. All people are in His image and likeness. The way we think, feel, love, everything so we can rule over other creation. I would always thank God for what He has done from the very beginning. It is good and always remember that God I serve is a magnificent and marvelous God.

How can I bring back the kindness He has poured out on me? God gives me wisdom so I will cultivate it and develop it. Never claim any glory that belongs to Him. Always take in mind that apart from Him is not wisdom but downfall.

1. If there's an opportunity to serve God, no matter what the cost, by God grace i will obey.

2.. Plan for details so not delaying nor hindering any instructions from God.

3. Lead people to God.

Meet The Pastor’s Wife

Hello there! just a little background from what this is all about...

I've been married to my pastor-husband for 18 years and we've been ministers for 14 years now. We have served three churches of Word International Ministries –in Bangkal Makati, in Cainta and our current one in Pasig.

We have four wonderful kids. Pastor’s kids who raised being just like other kids in church. The eldest, Elisha Jacob, is now in College, taking up Electronics and Communications Engineering. The next is Jeziel, taking up Fine Arts, major in Advertising. The third one, Jemimah, who is now in high school and the youngest is Jethro El who is in grade school. They all live at home. As parents, we guided and supported them to become ministers in the future and so to fulfill what God has planned for their lives. Both my husband and I lived in Makati City by birth and upbringing, but God has assigned us in Pasig and so as to continue His work and mandate for the church in Pasig.

When God saw the need for a leader (due to unexpected situation in WIN National Leadership) who will qualify to pastor the pastors of the Philippine region, God chose my pastor-husband as being the Regional Director for the Philippines and the Pacific Islands. Our ministering level is now extended to all over the Philippines. God is so good; He allows things to happen for a purpose, that we might be useful vessels for His glory and instruments to fulfill His plan.

Why I began this ministry:

I have a wonderful experience as a member of King’s Daughters, a group of pastor’s wives who are married to ministers in Pasig, which called themselves, the PMA: Pasig Ministers Association.I became aware of different struggles and pains that were facing by many of us. I began to seek what God is dealing in our church. God has put into my heart the call to stand and fill the gap that has been created for long years now. I saw many of our pastor’s wives coping up in pain and hard work of being the wives of the ministers. They need strength and encouragement to go on in this journey. To fill the gap is to offer them a practical and spiritual friendship that will uplift and sooner will find somebody who become their partners in prayer and value them as friends. We share common situations in life, so I know the more we understand, the more we relate and connect our strength or even weaknesses and help one another.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)

So I encourage you, pastors' wives (WIN MM East Subregion) who wants to be inspired and developed with us in this journey, to join us whenever possible as we establish the date fitted for us all. But for now, we will meet this coming last Friday of the month, July 31, 2009, six to nine (6-9pm) in the evening, WIN Marikina. Please bring food to share.

Dear Friends,

I want to talk to you about your dreams. Not the kind you have when you are asleep, but the ones that are in your heart for your purpose, call and destiny!

Many of you have probably seen the video of Susan Boyle...it has been viewed over 51 million times. What an amazing message and lesson to the world! Don't judge a book by its cover! God truly has amazing treasures in unlikely looking earthen vessels. It is truly precious!

I felt like the Lord told me that there is a true message in all of this for us. The title to the song here is, "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables. In this song the person's dreams were killed "by life." In this particular time and season, many have felt much like what these lyrics talk about. However, do not pay attention to how things look!

I believe the message of what happened with this woman, Susan Boyle, is much greater. God wants to restore and fulfill dreams, even now, when it may look the most unlikely or even "dead." Why? Because then He will truly get all the glory!

And so...

• Even if it looks as though your dreams have died, don't give up! They are about to come to life!

• Don't let how others judge or treat you determine your outcome!

• No matter how long it takes, trust God and that His Word is TRUE and He has GOOD plans for you to give you a FUTURE and a HOPE! (see Jeremiah 29:11)

• Don't let anything stop you, for it will always try to stop you!

No matter what is going on in your life, be encouraged! Know that it doesn't matter how things look. God is greater! He wants to sing over you and be the "glory" and "lifter of your head" in this time and season! And He wants you to know—Dreams really DO come true! Do NOT give up on YOURS!

For some time, I have been praying to God about my desire to reach out our Pastors' wives in our church: Word International Ministries (WIN), and wanting to encourage them in their ministry. I initiated to call a few for a dinner-bonding that will eventually help us, equip us to do the job of supporting our husbands and enhancing our own ministry and that will impact in our own local church...

NO BIBLE! NO BREAKFAST!

Do you have rules in your house as a family? we do have. One is when my husband impressed in his heart to set this rule: No Bible, No Breakfast! As a mother of 4, it's my choice not to do anything until my bible reading is done. Just the same as my children grew older, we will see to it, it is done regularly... this bible verse was my driving force...

Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Research:
Jesus was able to resist all of the Devil’s temptations because He not only knew Scripture, but He also obeyed it. Ephesians 6:17 says that God’s Word is a sword to use in spiritual combat. Knowing Bible verses is an important step in helping us resist the Devil’s attacks, but we must also obey the Bible. Note that Satan had memorized Scripture, but he failed to obey it, knowing and obeying the Bible helps us follow God’s desires rather than the Devil’s.

Application:
Some people may comfortable of knowing a little about Scripture and then when trials and temptations come, tend to sway their faith in God. Jesus faced all the same temptations and trials we do, yet did not sin.

Prayer:
Lord, I know that you know what I am experiencing right now. And I know that you are willing to help me in this, please Lord, I turn to you for strength and courage to go on this life. May I find joy and peace in not just reading but applying your Word in my heart as I face this life with peace and security in Your name, Amen.

I want to share my personal reflection about "rain". Did you ever try to define "rains" in different stages of your life? I have many but I want to share one and this "rain" stood out from other rain stages in my life. Here is it...

It rained 2 nights ago and it lifted up my spirit. Some people used to tell me that they dislike rain but it’s different for me. I enjoy and love when it rains.

As a child, we were all in the house, no one was allowed to go outside when it rained and i loved the feeling of having dinner together with my own parents, brothers and sisters. We were 6 kids then. Though life was not perfect, i grew up in a situation my parents were always fighting. But then, they're still there with each other. It was so sad to say my mother passed away last July 2007. And really I missed my mother.

Recently I have downloaded an instrumental song, "Kiss the Rain" by Yiruma, which touched my heart and gave me a feeling of rainy days. When I watched the rain outside from our window, sometimes from a veranda or a terrace... well it depends where we are (we used to transfer from house to house every year). It portrayed some of my sweet sweet past moments when i was still a child. Now just imagine sitting at home, sipping a cup of hot brewed coffee while watching the rain in the verandah. It would just be so calming and relaxing…. It’s just superb…

Oh I love the Lord's promises when He gives rains to His people...

Deuteronomy 28:11-13 (NIV)

11 "The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you."

12 "The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none."

13 "The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom."

The Lord promised an abundant and prosperous life if we obey all He wants us to do. Such rain God telling us is a heartfelt covenant for those who hope in the Lord!

It is good to know also that rainbow appeared after rains, there is so much hope in this life. Rainbow represents a wonderful covenant of relationship between God and His people.

My heart yearns for rain for it follows a wonderful experience in the past and an amazing covenant relationship I have with the Lord.

So everytime the rains come, you would probably see me reminiscing my way back in time and God is reminding me of His promises, something like.. am kissin' the rain!

This day, try to define rains as the Lord promised you something that He will never fail you nor forsake you.Cheers!

Passionate Prayer-Worship this 2009!

Each New Year our Pastors and Leaders of different WIN (Metro Manila Region) Churches gathered together at the Prayer Mountain, Antipolo, for prayer and fasting. Our fast is based on this passage in the Book of Acts:

"They all joined together constantly in prayer...(and fasting)." Acts 1:14

I was there to join in fasting, praying and seeking for the spiritual directions of God to the church.

As I began my fast this year, I asked God to give me a new passion for His word and for His presence. And to begin with, I assessed what kind of life I did spend to God.

I searched God for an answer and I realized that I spent many years as a Christian striving in my own strength to become like him. I knew that God already lived in me by his Spirit, so why wasn't I becoming brighter and more beautiful? My busyness dimmed the Lord's beauty in me. And yet God led me to the next level of my ministry in the church (God is really gracious!). Well, what matters most is my willingness to change from glory to glory. He really worked through me in spite of my shortcomings!

One of the most beautiful illustrations of a heart that has done a beautiful thing to Jesus is found in Matthew 26:7-10

"A woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. 9"This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor." Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me."

The kind of passion Jesus desires for me is how deep I know Him as my personal Lord and Savior. The more I know Him, the better I understand His mind. Then the more my heart finds peace, joy and love so much that I can't help but to worship the true and loving God!

It was not the service I offered,
But it was how my life being perfected for Jesus.
Surely I have done a beautiful thing to Him!

This alabaster jar of very expensive perfume the woman poured on Jesus' head, is the most important thing to do...It means like this:

Focus on Jesus... Pray... Fast... Give... Worship Him and we will become brighter and more beautiful as this woman was!

Application:
One thing I noticed, when a new person comes to church, often they feel comfortable and blessed. Many of them stay and become regular attendees. It's good to see camaraderie inside the church. But unfortunately the church has lacked itself into an activity provided by it. Seldom I noticed they expand as workers, they just enjoyed being in the church. Our Lord commanded us to go to all people to spread the Good News. We need to be connected to the communities around us and be willing to speak out whatever the Lord commanded us to do. Let's pursue His calling to serve and offer salvation to others. Through that we will unleash the power of God and break the walls of the church. Let all people come to know Jesus!

2. In what ways can I help so that Good News will be spread to the entire world?

Prayer:
Dear Lord, You are so willing to do all the things at any cost even to give your Son Jesus to die on the cross for us. May we also be willing to do our part in connecting people to the Gospel you offered. May we go out to our comfort zone that we might draw people back to you.

Most people would think that a title "hero" is attained through hard work, sacrifice and unselfish motivation in saving people's lives. A "hero" exceeds power beyond what is limited to others, does what is right no matter what, works at the right time and in the right place. You are truly rewarded as hero if you possess those things. But "hero" is always a process...

As Christians, we have to share the Good News to all the world. Let God speak through us to exemplify His works and His capabilities, to exude His power and His strength. It's all up to us as extra ordinary people to experience the power of the Holy Spirit. God's plan is unlimited, we cannot grasp the whole thing in our minds. Let us wait and let Him do the process. The process of molding our character and personalities, making sure that the power has been given to all who possess humility and compassion to others, just like Jesus who owns the power! Jesus is the best example of a "Hero." Let's just be like Him!

God has important work for you to do for Him, but you must do it by the power of the Holy Spirit. We often like to get on with the job, even if it means running ahead of God. But waiting is sometimes part of God’s plan. We need God’s timing and power to be truly effective.

I can't just imagine how beautiful and wonderful our Creator is! The more we have when His Son, Jesus Christ will be revealed for our glorious redemption!

So what are you waiting for? go on, feel free to adore and captivate the heart of the One who loves you very much... worship no other than our Lord Jesus Christ!!!

God became human in the person of Jesus, and He will raise all who belong to Him when He comes to reign over the new heaven and the new earth. Jesus is the only person who perfectly reflects God’s image.
To respect God’s majesty, we must compare ourselves to His greatness. When we look at creation, we often feel small by comparison. To feel small is a healthy way to get back from reality, but God does not want us to dwell on our smallness. Humility means proper respect for God, not self-depreciation.

DAY 7: YES, I AM FREE INDEED!

"The film takes place in the Appalachian mountains circa 1850, and the title refers to a custom that the characters have brought with them from their native Wales, in which a man—usually a beggar or some similar social outcast—supposedly takes the sins of the newly deceased upon himself in exchange for food and drink. Because sin eaters are thought to have the sins of many people weighing on their souls, they are shunned by their communities, except when someone dies and their services are required—and even then, to look a sin eater in the eye is to invite a curse." The film was not shown in the country but it was so helpful to watch the trailer, that there was a Christian who made this film, at least an opportunity for evangelism.

There was a young girl named Cadi (Liana Liberato), who became obsessed with the Sin Eater, and was looking for him everywhere. Because she wants to ask the Sin Eater to take her sins away while she is still alive! And that's the beginning of her quest. Soon after this, Cadi meets an anonymous preacher (E.T.'s Henry Thomas) who spells out the gospel message, letting her know that JESUS is the only "sin eater" she will ever need!

Jesus himself is the truth that sets us free. He is the source of the truth, the perfect standard of what is right. He frees us from the consequences of sin, from self-deception and from deception of Satan. He shows us clearly the way to eternal life with God. Thus, Jesus does not give us freedom to do what we want, but freedom to follow God. As we seek to serve God, Jesus’ perfect truth frees us to be all that God meant us to be.

I want you to take a view of this...

From "The Lord of the Rings" Movie, the Mirror of Galadriel is a silver basin of water used by Galadriel in Lorien which could show the viewer events in the past, present or even the future.

Galadriel, in The Fellowship of the Ring (novel) says that she can command her mirror to show different things, but that what it shows unbidden is often more profitable. She offers both Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee the chance to look into the mirror. Here, Frodo sees a vision of either Saruman or Gandalf and a glimpse of the sea and a black ship with a white fortress with seven towers. The last thing he sees in the mirror is the Eye of Sauron and the heat of Sauron's gaze as he searches for Frodo causes the water to steam.

Here, Frodo is looking into the water which is like the living water Jesus so freely wants to give. Jesus wants us to drink of His living water that flows within His Holy Spirit. We can be assured of a future when we drink of this water. But we still have to choose to accept the living water offered by Jesus. Frodo and his friends didn’t have that; the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Memory Verse:
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. John 7:38

Jesus used the term living water in 4:10 to indicate eternal life (our future for those who believe). Here He uses the term to refer to the Holy Spirit. The two go together. Wherever the Holy Spirit is accepted, He brings eternal life. Jesus teaches more about the Holy Spirit in previous chapters 14-16. The Holy Spirit empowered Jesus’ followers at Pentecost (Acts 2) and has since been available to all who believe in Jesus as Savior.

People eat bread to satisfy physical hunger and to sustain physical life. We can satisfy spiritual hunger and sustain spiritual life only by a right relationship with Jesus Christ. No wonder He called Himself the bread of life. But bread must be eaten to sustain life, and Christ must be invited into our daily walk to sustain spiritual life.

The writer begins his psalm extolling the joys of obeying God and refusing to listen to those who discredit or ridicule Him. Our friends can have a profound influence on us, often in very subtle ways, if we insist on friendships with those who mock what God considers important, we might sin by becoming indifferent to God’s will. This attitude is the same as mocking. True friends should help you to draw closer to God, not hinder.

”God is Spirit.” Means He is not a physical being limited to one place. He is present everywhere, and He can be worshiped anywhere, at any time. It is not where we worship that counts, but how we worship. The Holy Spirit prays for us (Romans 8:26), teaches us the words of Christ (14:26), and tells us we are loved (Romans 5:5).

JESUS LOVES YOU!

The message of the Good News comes to a focus in this verse. God’s love is not static or self-centered. It reaches out and draws others in. Here, God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships- when you love someone dearly; you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice. God paid dearly with the life of His Son, the highest price He could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, and then offered us the new life that He had bought for us. When We share the Good News with others, our love must be like Jesus’—willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God’s love.
